MY APPROACH
I am a relationally-oriented psychodynamic therapist. Together, we will think about and explore your current problems in the context of past experiences and important relationships within the context of the therapeutic relationship. With a greater understanding of what is feeling hard, we focus on the patterns of thinking and behavior that influence and perpetuate your present challenges. Through the work in therapy, your coping skills will improve and you will gain a capacity to approach current problems in new and more adaptive ways, to feel unstuck and more self-aware.
Before scheduling an appointment, I offer a free brief consultation to discuss what you’re looking for in therapy and answer questions you might have.
Psychotherapy can be both strange and difficult with the client-therapist relationship being a crucial component to progress. You should find someone you like and feel comfortable talking to, which is something I will check-in with you about after the beginning sessions. If we continue to work together, I will place great importance on building a strong and stable therapeutic relationship, so that we can work in an open and trusting way.

Psychotherapy sessions are 50-minutes and usually occur on a weekly basis.
